The concept of crowdfunding has been steadily reaching countless of innovators who are applying it to public events, concerts, and fundraisers. There are several other concepts out there but one company that has got  a good amount of attention is a Brooklyn based Startup called Kickstarter. As a crowdfunding concept site goes, Kickstarter focuses on assisting entrepreneurs, authors, explorers, artists and almost anybody to raise funds for their big idea.

If you have the next great Idea, Kickstarter should be your first stop to try to get funding to make it reality. The site is pretty simple to navigate around.  Simply post your idea with a good description along with a deadline, financial goal and any creative incentives you can offer to your supporters. Kickstarter sets up an Amazon Payment account for you to process your supporters pledges. Funds will only be given if your financial goal is reached or exceeded prior to the deadline. The funds will all be collectively process from all supporters pledges and transferred to your Amazon Payment account. Each supporters would get whatever incentive promised as well as access to up to date information of the project as it goes on.  Several project creators have provided creative and enticing incentives to their supporters throughout numerous projects. One example – a young woman in need of funds to sail around the world offer to place a supporters name on her sail boat just for donating a dollar. Your incentives can be whatever your mind can conjure! Now, if a goal is not reached by the the set deadline, any funds that was given as a pledge by any supporters would be automatically canceled.

Kickstarter is one great option to consider if you lack financial support to get your idea off the drawing board! So, for you aspiring entrepreneurs out there, get your camcorder and  record so you can post your next big idea!

Ever wonder how it would be like to be able to have the technology to access any information by using any flat surface into a touch screen window? You have probably seen the movie Minority Report a few years back with Tom Cruise navigating himself around through virtual space with just his hands and wonder if that technology would be available in the near future.

Well, A group from MIT have developed a technology such as that. Their Wear Ur World “WUW” sixth sense prototype was put together using everyday gadgets like a camera, small projector, and a mirror. The neat thing about this is that it will only cost approximately$350 to assemble such a device. Of course you need the right softwares to do so, which hopefully will be provided soon to the public.   The current prototype WUW sixth sense design is not sleek or somewhat attractive to be wearing around all the time but hopefully they can make a more sleeker design in the near future. Wearing a camera system around your neck or attaching it to your cap on a day to day basis would get annoying sooner than later.

The device gives you the ability to access maps, pull up flight information, look up information in the web, take pictures with the use of your fingers, and even access time by simply drawing a circle on your wrist. The WUW sixth sense prototype could revolutionize our lifestyle design without a doubt.

No, I’m not talking about the ray gun from Star Trek. Although that would be cool to have around! We have come along way from just dreaming about what it would be like to use laser technology on our everyday life. Now, we use laser technology on almost about anything. From getting rid of your unwanted body hairs, fixing your eye site, getting rid of unattractive wrinkles you may have, and many other great technological advancements.

One particular device that got my attention just little over a year ago was the development of a Bluetooth Virtual Laserkey keyboard! My first thought was “This is Awesome!” then naturally, I started thinking about the pros and cons of this little gadget. Now, before I could do that though, I needed to get a hold of one. I knew that if I just wait a few months or so, there will be reproduced or what I’d like to say the “cheaper version” versions of the product. What can I say, I’m frugal with everything I purchase. This little baby has made my mobile text usage so much easier! Except while driving, which you should never drive and text anyways. It is projects into a full-out keyboard on any flat surface and it even comes with a built in mouse feature! It is powered by a compact lithium-ion battery.

So let’s Break down the Pros and Cons for this little gizmo:

Alright with that said, The Celluon Laserkey CL850BT is probably one of the coolest new gizmos out in the market! But like any new technology, Its only a matter of time until a new and better bluetooth virtual laserkey keyboard comes out! What I really want to see is the the virtual desktop system that Ben Affleck’s character reverse engineered on the movie Paycheck!

We us a society is witnessing innovative changes throughout the world. One of the biggest issues that we have all been dealing with is developing a fuel efficient system to power our vehicles. One interesting system that I came across was a way to convert your vehicle to use water and gas to improve your mileage dramatically. At first this seems like somewhat science fiction but when I researched the subject more thoroughly, I found out that a system does exist! Of course having a hydrogen fueled automobile would seem like science fiction but seems like it might be a reality!

Being able to convert your gasoline powered automobile to a hydrogen fueled automobile would have so many advantages. Even though full hydrogen fueled automobile concepts are still on the drawing board, the technology to add water as a supplemental tool for your gasoline fueled engines has been available for a few years now. This idea is just catching up now due to the current situation our society is going through with gas prices rising and as well as environmental issues.

The technology involves separating water by using electricity from your car battery into a gas known as HHO.  HHO is a gas that burns more effective and as produces a significant amount of energy.

HHO fueled automobiles is three times more effective than gas fueled ones. Typically gasoline fueled vehicles consume about 80% of the efficiency of your vehicle though the combination of fumes, evaporations, unburned fuel, and vibrations. Adding Hydrogen to the mix will dramatically improve how your engine processes fuel and will increase its potential three fold.

Let’s try to break down the benefits of hydrogen fueled automobiles or to better put it, HHO fueled automobiles:

- Lessens the damage that gasoline fueled vehicles have done in our environment

- Only have to use about a quart of water to be able to drive a couple hundred miles

- HHO fueled automobiles only puts out oxygen and water to the atmosphere instead of harmful chemicals that produces smog.

So I got the book Emergency last Friday and just finished in earlier today.  I usually listen to audio books because I’m always up and about but this book was so amazing that I end up taking pages of notes!

A quick summary for the readers that is not familiar with Neil Strauss. He wrote The Game, a bestseller, which basically shows you the guide to “Penetrating the Secret Society of Pick-Up Artists”. If you haven’t read that book too, definitely grab a copy of it. You won’t be disappointed.

Anyways, back to his recent work, Emergency: This book will save your life. This time Neil takes us on a journey where “mission impossible” tactics with “Jason Bourne’s” ability is intertwined per say as he guides us through his journey to escape the system. The publisher best describes Emergency as “one man’s story of a dangerous world and how to stay alive in it”. He goes over topics ranging from how to acquire a second non-US passport, protecting his assets in offshore accounts, and befriending top billionaire groups who have the same mentality. The content doesn’t just stop there. He also covers topics from terrorisms, economic downturn to climate change. He even shares how he learned to properly use a gun and how to butcher farm animals to eat! How to inquire tracking skills ? Yep! Included in the book too! Crazy but definitely worth a read! This book definitely lives up to its subtitle “This Book Will Save Your Life”.

I think I only paid about $12 from Amazon, and it’s one of the only books I’ve read in the last year, besides The 4-Hour Workweek by Timothy Ferriss that has inspired me to take action.

A unique approach to drivers education was taken by Mercedes-Benz just this summer, which set up an academic program to teach children over the age of 10 and also close to 5 feet tall, to learn the basics of driving a vehicle.

Mercedes-Benz Driving Academy in the United Kingdom, which is what the program is called, focuses on showing our next generation drivers  the “art” of driving instead of the conventional system requiring the minimum scores to pass a test. They have set it up the courses into 4 different programs.  Kids ages 10 to 14 learn the fundamentals of driving and road safety. The next age group ranges from 15 to 17 years old. This group goes more in depth into the understanding of driving. They will have to learn how to deal with emergency situation and be able to have a good grasp of certain traffic codes. They also set up a parent partnered program, where it is designed to develop and improve the confidence level of each parents when assisting their children how to drive.  And of course, for those over the age of 17, they also offer a complete package to assist in helping them pass the basic requirements test.

Mercedes idea puts a unique twist by letting these young individuals connect with there brand.  Hopefully engrave in there young minds what quality Mercedes vehicles can offer them and pursue to acquiring one throughout their teens, twenties or whenever they can afford to get one of there own.
